Ingredients:
1/4 Cup diced green pepper
1 Cup sliced celery
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 TBSP butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2/3 Cup milk
1 Cup shredded processed cheese
( velveta)
1- 91/4 oz can of tuna- drained
1- 8 oz pkg medium noodles cooked and drained
8 TBSP mayonaise
1/4 Cup chopped pimentos (small jar)
1/3 Cup slivered almonds, toasted ( Optional)
1 small can of chopped chilies
( Optional)
Directions:
Saute' green pepper, celery, and onion it butter for 5 miunutes.
Blend soup and milk, add cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Combine Tuna, cooked noodles, mayonaise and pimento, chilies (optional).
Pour Cheese sauce over mixture. Turn into greased casserole dish. sprinkle almonds over the top.
Bake at 400
30-35 minutes or until hot and bubbly
yields 8 servings
Chicken can be used instead of Tuna.
