Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups peaches,peeled and cut.
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt into bowl, set aside. Mix together sugar and shortening until creamy. blend in buttermilk, egg and vanilla. Combine Wed and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently stir in peaches,cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Pour batter into greased 11 x 7 baking dish.
in small bowl combine nut topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake. bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and serve.

1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
